Maine Mountain Wedding Venue

Grove Hill Events offers a Maine Mountain Wedding Venue that features both an indoor wedding venue option and outdoor wedding venues. There are several venue options within or outside the lodge depending on the size of your wedding. The lodge offers a beautiful view of the private pond and Appalachian Mountain Range, complete with a fireplace and full floor to ceiling windows. Say your vows indoors or outdoors on the lawn, either options will still provide a spectacular backdrop for your ceremony. Once you see the space, we want to accommodate your ideal picturesque vision of your big day!

We encourage you to be adventurous and unique, but we can also help with recommendations based on past events. Small intimate wedding venues would be indoor ceremonies of up to 40 people, outdoor ceremonies can accommodate up to 150 depending on the size of your tent. We have a parking lot for guests and a dedicated tent space that can accommodate up to a 40' x 60' wedding tent for receptions. You and your guests can enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains throughout your entire stay, with spectacular sunsets over the mountains of the North Maine Woods. Each season bringing a unique beauty, a bright spring wedding, gorgeous summer ceremony, unforgettable fall foliage, or a winter wonderland.

Catering Accommodations

We have several catering options for you to choose from for your special day. We can assist by recommending a variety of local caterers to meet your needs. Host your guests with a private traditional Maine lobster bake rehearsal dinner, keep it low-key with a potluck and burgers on our Traeger grill, or hire one of our local Milo or Brownville caterers. For a more casual or rustic event, Bangor has several food trucks and catering services with offerings ranging from Lobster to Home-Cooked cuisine. For a more elegant presentation we can recommend or you are welcome to hire a private chef for your dinner celebration. You may also bring your own food as we have two kitchens in the main Lodge for your use. We have multiple refrigerators, freezers, and a walk-in outdoor cooler is available if needed so we have plenty of space to keep Floral and Wedding Cake deliveries fresh and cool.

Music Accommodations

Our space can accommodate a DJ or local band, whatever your preference. Indoor receptions would be small and intimate or outdoor receptions can accommodate larger groups with plenty of lawn space or a 60’ x 40’ wedding tent for a beautiful reception under the stars. We can assist with the rental of the tent, dance floor, tables, chairs and linens. Rustic cabin or outdoor country setting, the space is perfect for those that appreciate nature and all the beauties it has to offer.

Lodging Accommodations

We offer Lodging Accommodations with our wedding venues. The main lodge and private cabin both sit high up on a hill so your view will not just be limited to the wedding ceremony, but your entire stay at Grove Hill. We have a main lodge that sleeps 22+, with 10 bedrooms, 7.5 baths, and a private cabin with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms that sleeps 6.

Enjoy the comforts of the lodge living space in front of the fireplace, while still admiring the Maine views, sipping on a beverage enjoying the peacefulness that North Maine Woods has to offer. There is WiFi for internet service and TV streaming if you need to stay connected, but we think you'll find you'd rather unplug and enjoy the natural beauty of your event here at Grove Hill.

Additional Activities at the Ranch

Just a quarter mile down the road, take a walk to view our 200+ acre red deer farm, take pictures in front of the enormous red barns. If you’re lucky, you might just get photobombed by a roaring Red Stag or catch a glimpse of one of the Maine Moose that wander the property.

Enjoy a day hike along several Mountain trails, including Gulf Hagas, Gauntlet Falls, explore the Katahdin Iron Works or Jo-Mary. Extend your trip to Baxter State Park for a bucket list hike up Maine’s Mount Katahdin, experience some or all of Maine’s Hundred Mile Wilderness section of the Appalachian Trail. Go fishing or swimming in one of Maine’s many lakes or rivers, including nearby Schoodic Lake, Ebeemee, Sebec, Sebois, Jo-Mary, or the Pleasant River. If you’re feeling even more adventurous you can take a white-water rafting trip down one of Maine’s Rivers, the Kennebec or Penobscot.
